Manufacturer's infos:
A seabass lure’s castability does not only give a great advantage to the angler, but is also an important factor for keeping up his motivation. The Tide-Minnow SLD series was developed as a slim-type, long distance model, with castability as the top priority. It is a basic model that can be used in a wide range of locales (surf, estuaries, off the rocks, etc). It features a ‘wobble and roll’ action with a pleasant feel. It is able to catch the small-scale flows in the current, even when retrieved slowly. With its great castability, it is the perfect entry model.
We created the sinking model by simply adding a small fixed weight to the belly area of the floating model. This slight weight difference translates into a major change in performance. Utilizing both the floating and sinking lures depending on the situation enables the angler to create a more versatile game plan. The 125SLD-S is very productive in surf, especially when targeting flounders. Greater weight allows greater castability, and by simply counting while letting the lure sink, the angler can access productive zones of various species. Additionally, one can expect even more stable action in the rougher conditions of the break-line.
A seabass lure’s castability not only gives a great advantage to the angler, but also is an important factor for keeping up his motivation. The Tide-Minnow SLD series was developed as a slim-type, long distance model, with castability as the top priority. The 145SLD-F is best used along the open coastline with breaking surf and outlying rocks. The strong ‘wobble and roll’ action not only appeals to the game fish more, but also allows anglers to judge the movement of the water, making it a great pilot lure for covering an extensive area.
The 145SLD-S sports the best casting capabilities on the Tide-Minnow series. Its heavy body allows for extra-long casting distance and more dynamic behavior in the water. This lure is most productive in tough conditions such as strong headwinds and big swells, in other words, conditions typical for targeting Blackfin Seabass. With this lure, the angler will also be able to access sand-bars and off-shore areas which would otherwise be unreachable with the floating model. It comes into its own anytime one requires great casting distances, such as when seeking big surf species like Kingfish.
