My name is Sean Jordan, I am 49 yrs old, 40 yrs + angler in fresh, + saltwater, but now all salt, my family is from Wexford, although I was born in England, but I spent a lot of time fishing in Wexford, Ireland, before moving here from England with my wife, and family in 1992. In 1977 I caught my first Wexford Bass, and the affair began.....Since moving here 1992 I have been a lot of fishing, from shore, kayak, + boat with lure, and fly, in 2012 I set up bassfishingwexford.com which I run, + own, I meet anglers from all over the world, and enjoy all the different tactics they like to use to catch fish, this is why I am here to LEARN, as anglers we never stop learning, and never should !! I am not here to tell you Ireland is full of fish just waiting for you, its not... I hope that not too much will be lost in translation from my posts, so a big HELLO from Sean in Wexford, Ireland.......

In case you did not realized, this is a french community, few people understand/speak english, you will have much trouble trying to communicate with most of us.

Anyway, you can still try to write in french, if you want to improve.

Merci Anub'arak, I am well aware of this. I use a translator facility, I understand 95% on the forum.... Maybe its not so good going Eng=Fr ??

You're welcome here Sean you're lucky to fish Ireland which is wellknown from fishermen here in France for pikes and brown trouts for instance. But I'm sure it's very exciting as you proposed to search for sea bass and sea trout near the coast...
I hope to visit soon Ireland, and if it is the case I think I will contact you ;)

Merci Nicholas, BUT Ireland not always "Dreamland", you will still need good weather, and be a good angler, to make good catches, for sure.... Fish don't que up to be caught here, it can be tough at times.....But, when it's good, it's very good.

Hi Sean ,it was just a joke .
In fact I discover Ireland in 1976 and go every year ,some time twice year , in the Esmerald for pike fishing .
Ihave been fishing first in Cavan Co for 10 years then in a lot of place ( Ree, Shanon ,Castelblaney , Cork and also in Ulster)
So some time I think Ireland is my second country .

Since 10 years I also gone in Sweden for pike fishing and the fishing in this country is like in Ireland ....there are 20 years past

Now I am retired and I live in south of France near Nimes and about sunshine I will like in fact some rain and a little cold because since near 2 months not a drop of water and for 15 days temp.are sup. 30°C

One days I will surely go in Wexford for sea fishing and if you ok I will contact you
