hi,

i'm marcel from the netherlands and my france is not that good in writing.
so i will try it in english, in july i'm two weeks on holliday in a place caled portiranges near beziers.
the canal du mide is a step away from where we are, in holland i'm fishing pike zander and bass.
now i try to find out if fishing on canal du midi is good for black bass perch and pike.
i hope you have some answers where to fish.

welcome to this forum.

I can't give you some place where you can fish on the net because malicious fishermen can read it on the forum
I want to protect fishs to an abusive levy. But sure you will find this species in the "canal du midi".
An other thing, you must have fishing rights to fish in this canal. If you want to have informations we will answer you.

@Nico: I don't think Marcel would know accurate places on Canal du Midi. I think people knowing this place can answer him to his question without being precise. It's the question. Has he to fish this canal or another place near Beziers ?
@Marcel: if you translate the advices which are printed while you are writing a message, you will find we prefer to argue and talk between people who have a precise presentation. Are you familar with catch and release ? Do you fish with lures, flies, natural ? Are there many bass in netherlands ? If you give us more infos I'm sure you will have more answers...

merci pour les respons ! i don' ; taches exactes du besoin de t dans le canal du Midi pour la pêche mais l'it' ; s gentil maintenant si le brochet, la perche et la basse noire peuvent être crochet dans ce fleuve ? nous avons toutes les espèces dans la basse noire d'exept néerlandais celui-ci des poissons that' ; s haut sur ma liste de crochet : lol : et oui i' ; l'au courant de m du crochet et du dégagement ainsi tous les poissons que je pêche vont étaient de retour moi les attrapent : lol : en Hollandes i seulement les poissons sur les poissons prédateurs aiment le brochet, la perche et le zander. dans la saison fermée pour le brochet, la perche et le zander je pilote des poissons sur le gardon, la brème, la carpe et tous autres poissons. la vie du becauce i également près des poissons de de beach i en mois d'été sur le bar. mon fishinggear j'emploie pour les poissons prédateurs suis des tiges de st.croix et des bobines de Garcia d'abu. ma tige 7ft 1to 3oz du brochet st.croix avec une bobine prédatrice limitée et un revo toro 51. une plus petite tige de croix de rue 6.6 pi que j'emploie pour le zander et la perche est 1/4 à 3/4oz avec un revo côtier. une tige de rotation légère de simonz de Henk (spro) avec un exage 1500 de shimano. une tige de dropshot de rozemeijer avec un exage 1500 de shimano. une tige de mouche d'okuma #5/6 c'est au sujet de ma vitesse que j'utilise pour la pêche.

i don't need exact spots in canal du midi for fishing but it's nice to now if pike,perch and black bass can be catch in this river?
we have all species in the netherlands exept black bass this one of the fish that's high on my catch list
and yes i'm familar with catch and release so all fish i catch go back were i catch them

in the netherlands i only fish on the predator fish like pike,perch and zander.
in the closed season for pike,perch and zander i fly fish on roach,bream,carp and all other fish.
becauce i life also near de beach i fish in the summer months on seabass.
my fishinggear i use for the predator fish are st.croix rods and abu garcia reels.
my pike st.croix rod 7ft 1to 3oz with a limited predator reel and a revo toro 51.
a smaller st. croix rod 6.6 ft i use for zander and perch is 1/4 to 3/4oz with a revo inshore.
a light spinning rod from henk simonz (spro) with a shimano 1500 exage.
a rozemeijer dropshot rod with a shimano 1500 exage.
a okuma fly rod #5/6

this is about my gear i use for fishing.

Hi Marcel, I fish on the " Canal du midi " in Toulouse and they are a lot of bass, zander and perch...I don't know how this pit is on Bezier but I think they are many bass ( it's very shiny in bezier).
I hope you'll catch a lot of fish and I recommend you to fish with soft bait Reins on small jighead ( 1.5 to 3 gr) it's very efficient !!!
