When this bait traces the bottom, its action is like rubbing its belly against it. And thanks to the balancer, you can make it to twitch unlike other crankbaits. Ever since its introduction DEEP-X100's popularity is based on the fact that this compact bait is extremely good at catching trophy size bass. Equipped with the same MOVING BALANCER SYSTEM of the 200T, DEEP-X100 is at its best when slow-retrieved. Use slow gear ratio reels if you can.

First, let us explain what kind of MOVING BALANCERS are used for DEEP-X series. There are by now several different MOVING BALANCERS employed for our baits, with each system designed to achieve a different purpose. In the case of DEEP-X, there are three positions the balancer can move into. First, when you cast DEEP-X, the balancer moves to the tail position, achieving better castability. Second, as soon as DEEP-X hits the water, the balancer moves into the front position, ready to dive at a steep angle. Third, upon reaching the optimum depth, the balancer now moves to the mid position, ready to swim horizontally, and by moving sideways its swimming action more dynamic. If you are after suspending fish, twitch and pause might be effective now. Finally, when DEEP-X is ready to come to the surface, the balancer moves back to the tail position, making it easier and faster to surface. While most crankbait are fat and shapeless, DEEP-X200T is rather compact and minnow-like. But it dives up to 15 feet.

Deep-X 300 is the long awaited deep-diving crankbait to complete the Deep-X series. The 300 is designed to take care of the frustration many of you have felt with the 200 in terms of the diving depth and profile size when the bait is being pushed. The diving depth of 5m (nearly 17ft) and much larger body-size allow you to invade the depths where previously the lunker fish were just out of reach. Along with its Deep-X brothers, the 300 is equipped with the Megabass original Multi-Way Balancer System (PAT.). That means that the 300 will dive almost vertically in order to maximize the effective cranking distance, and also respond to every little twitch or jerk you send the bait. All of the Deep-X series crankbaits allow for the conventional bottom-digging method, which produces irregular darting action and induces strikes. However, what sets Deep-X apart from the rest is their mid-water twitch/jerk action, which appeals to suspended fish near bottoms and structure. The 300's colors are uniquely developed for the darker environments of deeper water.
